Your Role: As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates while ensuring our pricing aligns with company margins.
Your role will include:·Oversee the preparation of utilities, HV and industrial infrastructure projects valued between $1m – $100 million·Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and achievable cost estimations for large-scale electrical work·Collaborating with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing·Identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and profitability·Work closely with operations to develop winning proposals·Prepare accurate and competitive electrical estimates for commercial and industrial projects·Review project specifications, plans, and requirements to identify materials, labour, and costs·Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to gather and verify project details·Utilise estimating software and tools to create detailed cost analyses·Provide guidance to clients on budget considerations and project feasibility·Ensure estimates align with industry standards and company objectives.
What We're Looking For:·Proven experience as an electrical estimator.·Exposure to one or more of the below categories of Electrical works and a strong technical understanding ofo Private High Voltage Networks.o Low Voltage Networkso Utility Scale Renewable Energy Systems – Wind, Solar, BESS & Hybrido Communications & SCADA Infrastructureo Overhead and Underground Electrical Systemso Specialist High Voltage Testing and Maintenanceo Operation & Maintenance Contracts·Experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders within the industry, clients, suppliers and subcontractors·Proficient with estimating software (Fast Track desirable)·Strong process orientation with excellent attention to details ensuring accurate cost estimates and documentation·Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects adhering to deadlines and budget constraints·Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of project lifecycle, from tender preparation through to successful delivery and handover·Electrical trade or engineering qualifications (desirable)·Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and industry standards·Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications·Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills Please Note: A pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol testing will be required.
