Electrical Estimator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates while ensuring pricing aligns with company margins.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the preparation of utilities, HV and industrial infrastructure projects valued between $1m – $100 million.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and achievable cost estimations for large-scale electrical work.
  • Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and profitability.
  • Work closely with operations to develop winning proposals.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Proven experience as an electrical estimator.
  • Strong technical understanding of private high voltage networks, low voltage networks, utility scale renewable energy systems, communications & SCADA infrastructure, overhead and underground electrical systems, specialist high voltage testing and maintenance, and operation & maintenance contracts.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the industry, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Proficiency with estimating software (Fast Track desirable).
  • Excellent attention to detail and process orientation to ensure accurate cost estimates and documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects adhering to deadlines and budget constraints.
