Job Description:

Eden Ritchie is seeking a skilled Procurement & Contract Management professional to undertake procurement activities, work with stakeholders to plan, develop, source and manage performance of contractual service arrangements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute procurement strategies to achieve organizational objectives
- Lead the delivery of complex procurement processes that will form new or changed high-risk, high-value contracts
- Track procurement activity progress and ensure all procurement activities are conducted in accordance with departmental policies and procedures, and that all procurement decisions are documented
- Build and maintain positive and respectful working relationships with suppliers to create transparency of operations and best outcomes for the organization
- Proactively identify and plan for procurement needs through regular engagement with stakeholders including project managers and internal business representatives
- Prepare succinct and accurate briefs to seek approval from senior staff and provide advice on complex procurement issues
- Consult with legal counsel to negotiate on high-risk, high-value contracts
- Attend and present at committee meetings and working groups as required
- Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle to ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, and contract deliverables are being met

 

Requirements:

- Demonstrated experience in strategic procurement and contract management
- Demonstrated experience in government contracts and procurement, particularly ITC (GITC / QITC)
- Strong written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to liaise, consult and negotiate with a range of stakeholders and escalate issues/ delays
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to consider contracts in the broader organizational context
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a team environment to achieve goals and objectives
- Proven ability to plan, prioritize and organize workloads to agreed timeframes
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office suite
