Care Worker Job Description

Care workers play a vital role in supporting residents living in aged care facilities. They help residents maintain their independence and improve their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily living assistance such as showering, personal hygiene, dressing, and helping with meals
  • Assist with medication and simple wound dressings
  • Support residents in community-based recreational and social activities

Aged care workers must be adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful. A Certificate III/IV in Aged Care or equivalent qualification is ideal. Previous experience in aged or community care is also beneficial.
