Learning Support Specialist

About Our Role

  • We are seeking a Learning Support Specialist to join our team, who will be responsible for developing and implementing Individualised Learning Plans for students with diverse learning needs.
  • The successful candidate will conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and inform instructional strategies.
  • They will work closely with classroom teachers and support staff to implement tailored educational strategies that meet individual student needs.
  • Maintaining regular communication with parents, guardians, and external specialists is essential to ensure a collaborative approach to student support and wellbeing.
  • The Learning Support Specialist will provide direct learning support to students across all grade levels, addressing academic, social, and emotional challenges through targeted interventions and strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement Individualised Learning Plans for students with diverse learning needs.
  2. Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and inform instructional strategies.
  3. Work closely with classroom teachers and support staff to implement tailored educational strategies that meet individual student needs.
  4. Maintain regular communication with parents, guardians, and external specialists to ensure a collaborative approach to student support and wellbeing.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Education or related field.
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
