Job Description:

The role of an Events Officer is a dynamic and challenging position that requires the successful candidate to deliver key events and manage third-party bookings across prestigious cultural venues.

As an Events Officer, you will play a crucial role in enriching the social and intellectual life of students and communities, while contributing to the University's cultural strategy and strengthening its global cultural standing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Third-Party Bookings: Provide comprehensive event management services for external clients, from initial enquiries to post-event follow-ups, ensuring high-quality delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan and Deliver Key Events: Work with internal stakeholders to organise impactful events and activations across Museums & Collections venues, aligning with departmental strategic priorities.
  • Administer Booking Systems: Maintain accurate records and efficiently manage event and space bookings using specialized software.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will require excellent organisational and communication skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic cultural environment. You will also need to have experience in the events industry, with the ability to lead casual teams and work methodically towards goals.

Additionally, you should possess strong administrative skills, including maintaining office systems and managing client financials. Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes are also essential.
