The role of a Support Worker in our carer peer program is pivotal, requiring an individual with lived experience of caring for someone with a significant mental illness.
- Key responsibilities will include providing support to family members and carers during inpatient admissions and up to 28 days post discharge, working closely with healthcare professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- This involves delivering valuable peer support through sharing personal experiences, ensuring that the needs of consumers and their families are met effectively.
Requirements:
- Relevant lived experience aligned to the position description.
- Able and willing to share own experiences to support others.
- Australian working rights required.
