Breakfast Chef Job Opportunity

Mercure Newcastle is seeking a full-time Breakfast Chef to join its kitchen team. The role involves preparing and serving a diverse range of breakfast dishes, from traditional full hot breakfasts to healthier and continental options.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, cook, and serve food for the breakfast buffet showing variety and flair
  • Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage following stock control procedures
  • Keep all working areas clean and tidy. Wash all dishes during service
  • Assist with in-house functions, restaurant, and cafe food as required
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced, and cleaned. Report any problems to the Food & Beverage Operations Manager
Requirements:
  • Experience in buffet breakfast service preferred
  • Deliver consistent, high-quality food while maintaining set food costs
  • Work in conjunction with service teams to ensure quality product and service to guests
  • Have great communication skills & a positive attitude
  • Have excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Have a willingness to learn and go above and beyond for our guests
