The Role
  • Work closely with senior chefs to maintain food standards, meeting guest expectations.
  • Demonstrate confidence and proficiency in preparation and cooking techniques.
  • Monitor and maintain the quality of dishes at all stages, including preparation and presentation.
  • Collaborate with the team in all aspects of kitchen operations, adhering to guidance and direction.
  • Follow established guidelines for food safety and handling.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation, monitor stock levels, and assist with food costing and control, where required.
  • Contribute to kitchen presentation and operations, including maintenance, mise en place, and service.
  • Demonstrate respect and understanding for workplace health and safety procedures.
Qualifications
  • Trade cooking qualifications are essential.
  • Experience in a commercial cookery environment is desirable.
  • A respectful and professional approach to work and teamwork.
  • A passion for food and a desire to learn.
  • Ability to adapt, show resilience, and maintain high standards under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Maintain high standards even when under pressure.
  • Be physically fit to perform role-related tasks, including working on your feet, heavy lifting, and movement of goods.
  • An understanding of safe work practices with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Must have flexible availability, morning shifts from 5:30 am, mid-shifts, and night work from 2 pm to 11 pm.
