**Job Summary**

This role involves providing support to the HR team at Costco's Head Office in Lidcombe NSW, focusing on risk management and compliance across Australia and New Zealand. The successful candidate will develop training materials, assist with internal and external reporting, and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and apply Employee Agreement/Handbook/Collective Agreement and Company policies and procedures to provide guidance and support.
  • Review and update training materials to ensure consistency and compliance with legislation.
  • Assist with various HR projects and initiatives, utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including letters and other communications, utilizing excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Collaborate with Assistant Warehouse Managers, Admin Managers, Payroll Clerks, Return to Work Coordinators, Location Managers, Vice Presidents, and Executives to achieve departmental goals.
  • Develop, implement, and run reports for internal and external stakeholders, utilizing MS Excel skills and data analysis expertise.
  • Conduct audits and assessments to ensure HR and risk management compliance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Manage the breakroom board and intranet, ensuring timely updates and accurate documentation.
  • Maintain and optimize HR and risk management systems, identifying opportunities to drive efficiency and compliance.
  • Perform various HR administrative tasks, including vendor setup, contact list maintenance, and data entry.
  • Assist with implementing a new intranet platform, creating and editing HR and risk materials, and contributing to the development of a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Manage insurance claims, including notifications to third-party administrators, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
  • Design, create, and edit training materials, including online and blended learning courses, assessments, videos, job aids, instruction guides, and documentation.
  • Administer compliance for employment-related licenses, visas, training, and other requirements.
  • Perform general HR duties, including posting job ads, responding to inquiries, managing email accounts, and data entry of employee benefit claims.
  • Support the organization of meetings, travel, and accommodation bookings, ensuring seamless execution and effective communication.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary Education in HR, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Australian Driver's License and valid work rights in both Australia and New Zealand.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and MS Excel, with expertise in V-Lookup and Pivot Tables.
  • Ability to travel within NSW, interstate, or to New Zealand at short notice.
