Project Coordinator

This is a challenging role that requires a highly skilled and experienced project manager to oversee the installation of audio visual, commercial drapes, heavy mechanical, and electro-mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, construction management, and a solid understanding of audio, network, and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate all resources and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor quality and performance
Prepare and communicate project plans, including logistics, personnel, supplies, and equipment
Develop and implement project plans, including the coordination and management of logistics, personnel, supplies, and equipment
Evaluate system and design systems, prepare documentation, and ensure installation documents are ready for the install team
Create detailed bill of materials, purchase requisitions, and special requirement lists for action by various teams and departments
Develop labour plans for projects, detailing the types of staff required each day
Complete general administration tasks, including travel to various sites and businesses
Requirements
Tertiary qualification in project management and/or construction management with exposure to audio, network, and electrical systems
Minimum five (5) years proven project/contact management experience involving installation of audio visual, commercial drapes, heavy mechanical, and electro-mechanical systems
Experience working in the installation and commissioning of audio visual, commercial drapes, heavy mechanical, and electro-mechanical systems
Solid understanding of construction methodologies, including cable installations and structural integrity of materials
Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, design documentation, and specifications with an attention to detail
Commercial acumen, with a strong understanding and capacity to meet client requirements with diplomacy and sensitivity to solving complex problems
Proven practical experience with work health and safety principles and practices
Proven experience in developing and implementing project plans, including the coordination and management of logistics, personnel, supplies, and equipment
Ability to recognise areas for improvement, create clear plans, communicate the plans to senior management level, and implement successfully
High-level organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritise, organise, and coordinate multiple tasks against strict deadlines
Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with a wide variety of clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders
Excellent communication ability, including the ability to prepare accurate and relevant written reports and business communications
High-level of PC literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project, Word, and Outlook, and understanding of CAD programs
Excellent costing/estimating base, showing accurate margin delivery, coupled with solid commercial acumen with a strong financial focus
Outstanding leadership capabilities and proven strength in leading and coaching teams
