Job Description

Our organization is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role will be responsible for providing mechanical maintenance assistance to operators and production personnel in all manufacturing areas.

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of pneumatics and hydraulic systems, as well as competent welding skills. They will also be able to read and understand engineering drawings, with 'hands-on' practical experience in a maintenance environment.

The successful applicant will possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. They will also be able to provide information and recommendations to Team Leaders and Managers to assist in improving uptime of equipment and extending equipment lifecycles.

  • Ensuring adherence to safe work practices, site policies, and procedures, including contractor compliance.
  • Providing mechanical maintenance assistance to operators, line maintainers, and production personnel in all manufacturing areas and departments where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and guidance to production, packaging, and engineering services personnel on preventative maintenance, planned maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist with developing improvements within the Production Team.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve Preventative Maintenance routines along with overhaul scheduling and documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Comprehensive understanding and experience of pneumatics and hydraulic systems.
  • Competent welding skills.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • 'Hands-on' Practical experience in a maintenance environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Occupational Health and Safety knowledge.
  • SAP Maintenance or other CMMS experience.
