Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Mynrma Parks and Resorts. As a key member of our property operations team, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day activities of our handypersons and ensuring the delivery of an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team of handypersons to deliver high standards in property and facility maintenance.
  • Support the delivery of an exceptional guest experience by ensuring all facilities and equipment are well-maintained and in good working order.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external contractors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in maintenance and facilities management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years related experience in hospitality maintenance or a relevant field.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and people management skills, including the ability to interact with and influence people at all levels.
  • Strong leadership and management skills combined with a proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop others.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in repairing and maintaining buildings, plant, and equipment.
  • Proven time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Tertiary or vocational qualification in a relevant field, or progress towards (desirable).
  • Medium rigid vehicle license (desirable).
  • Working at heights license (desirable).
  • Working in confined spaces license (desirable).
