Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Associate Midwife Unit Manager to lead our midwifery team in the Women’s, Children and Birthing Unit at Latrobe Regional Health.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of approximately $120,000 per annum, plus additional benefits including free access to our Staff Wellbeing Centre and opportunities for ongoing development through daily education sessions and bespoke training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the clinical and administrative aspects of the Maternity Unit, ensuring quality patient outcomes.
  • Build and foster close working relationships with key stakeholders, including the Midwife Unit Manager, Hospital Coordinators and ANUMs.
  • Provide leadership and support to the midwifery team, promoting excellence in practice and contributing to the development of new models of care.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Minimum 5 years clinical experience as a midwife.RANZCOG – Fetal Surveillance Education Program (FSEP) certification.Excellent leadership qualities and ability to work effectively in a team environment.Competent in escalation and management of obstetric emergencies, including neonatal resuscitation.
