Your Role in Debt Recovery

You will play a crucial part in assisting our vendors to maximise recoveries and minimise bad debt. Your expertise will help us achieve this goal.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will work collaboratively with the Billing & Credit team to deliver on Recoveries strategic goals.
  • You will own the continuous improvement model in all aspects of the Debt Recovery Management cycle.
  • You will provide trusted input into critical Optus recovery processes and activities.
  • You will support the development of budgets, forecasting and scenario analysis models.
  • You will generate recovery insights by conducting efficient and accurate deep dive data analysis.
  • You will provide short-and long-term insight and intelligence on Optus' debtor segments.
  • You will work closely with the Collections and Recoveries team and Mercantile Vendors to set up and maintain reporting analytics and dashboards.

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • You hold a tertiary qualification in Business, IT, Commerce or a related field.
  • You have experience in an analytical role, including preparation of financial models and cases.
  • You possess solid understanding of MS Office, Teradata SQL, Relational databases, SQL developer, Oracle SQL and Alteryx.
  • You have solid analytical, conceptual, strategic, and commercial skills, with a background in statistical modelling / model validation.
  • You excel in communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills, as well as project and time management ability.
  • You are adept at conducting deep analysis to uncover areas to be addressed to improve the customer experience and financial outcomes for the team.
  • You can confidently present your findings to all levels of the business; internally and externally.
  • You can handle your time effectively as the time of your collaborators.

Average Salary Range:$80,000 - $120,000 per annum
