We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and effective maintenance of oil and gas assets, including pipelines, field compression stations, and ponds.
The role requires a strong commitment to Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) standards, Shell values, and code of conduct. You will work closely with operations teams and contractors to deliver high-quality work execution, ensuring a state of safe operational readiness.
You will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing out PM/CM work orders using CMMS systems, as well as performing inspections, diagnostics, servicing, and rebuilds of mechanical equipment.
The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III Mechanical Trade or higher, significant maintenance experience in heavy industry, and proven experience with gas-driven compression equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine and non-routine maintenance activities on mechanical equipment, including pressure safety valves, hydraulic hoses and systems, and Caterpillar and Waukesha gas engines.
- Utilize laser shaft alignment and flange management practices to remedy issues and ensure equipment reliability.
- Apply vibration analysis and condition monitoring techniques to assess equipment health and prevent downtime.
- Support turnaround and campaign shutdown events, adhering to Permit to Work (PTW) systems and Safe Isolation practices.
- Certificate III Mechanical Trade or higher.
- Signed-off Qualification: Differentials, HO-TORC, Swagelok Tube Bending and Fit-out.
- First Aid (including CPR) certification.
- Significant maintenance experience in heavy industry, ideally oil & gas or petrochemical.
- Proven experience with gas-driven compression equipment.
- Familiarity with HYTORC and RAD guns, Swagelok tube bending and fit-out.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills across pipelines, field compression stations, and ponds.
- High competence in laser alignment, flange management, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Experience with safety monitoring systems and industrial facility permit systems.
