Job Description:

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plant rotating and fixed equipment. Your primary goal will be to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities by performing routine maintenance tasks and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.

Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience working as a Fitter & Turner in a heavy industrial environment. They should also possess excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work independently, and have strong communication skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience with pumps, mixers, mechanical seals, and other rotating equipment is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical seals and condition monitoring is desirable.
  • Intermediate level computer skills, including MS Office and CMMS, are required.

Others:

As a Mechanical Fitter & Turner, you will be working on a key client's site providing maintenance work to ensure that our organisation remains the supplier of choice. You will report to the Northern supervisor while working on-site.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Maintain, repair, and overhaul Pumps, Mixers, Mechanical seals and other rotating equipment and plant systems.
  • Personnel, plant, and environment safety is top priority and responsibility.
  • Replace bearings, mechanical seals, and pump alignments and other tasks allocated by supervisor.
  • Communicate hazards, issues, or faults to maintain smooth operations.
  • Complete all required corresponding documentation to completed tasks.
