The Mechanical Maintenance Professional will be responsible for the safe and effective execution of maintenance activities across a range of oil and gas assets.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure all risk assessments and operational processes are properly and rigorously used.
- Apply standards with rigor and intervene when they are compromised.
- Coach and mentor team members.
- Work within the HSSE & SP Framework.
- Actively demonstrate and apply the Shell QGC Upstream culture.
You will be responsible for the safe, high-quality, and effective execution of mechanical maintenance activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Certificate III Mechanical Trade or higher; First Aid certification.
- Significant maintenance experience in heavy industry, ideally oil & gas or petrochemical.
- Proven experience with gas-driven compression equipment.
- Familiarity with HYTORC and RAD guns, Swagelok tube bending and fit-out.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills across pipelines, field compression stations, and ponds.
- High competence in laser alignment, flange management, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Experience with safety monitoring systems and industrial facility permit systems.
- High Risk tickets (Dogman, EWP, Forklift), Heavy Rigid truck license, and Working at Heights training desirable.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
