Job Description

As a senior tax professional, you will be responsible for leading the tax compliance activities of our business and driving the development, implementation, and maintenance of robust taxation procedures, processes, and controls throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage tax compliance activities and provide tax advice associated with all state and federal taxes, including income tax, transfer pricing, goods and services tax, fringe benefits tax, PAYG installments, payroll tax, employee share schemes, stamp duty, and withholding tax.
  • Promote tax risk management and corporate governance protocols over regional tax matters and establish internal processes and reports as required for tax reporting purposes.
  • Communicate relevant tax changes and provide technical training for business units.
  • Identify scope for continuous improvement in gathering data and completing all existing state and federal administered taxes.
  • In cooperation with the Group Transfer Pricing team, ensure transfer pricing is commercially viable by adopting prescribed methodologies and performing comparative benchmarking as appropriate.
Required Skills and Qualifications

This role requires an ambitious and energetic candidate with a CA/CPA qualification. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of broad Australian Tax experience and a Business/Commerce Degree (Accounting major preferred). Strong communication skills and the ability to handle a large and varied workload within a deadline-driven environment are essential.
