Expert Infrastructure Specialist

The Senior Systems Engineer within the Core Infrastructure team is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining and securing infrastructure components including compute, storage, networking and related software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure, implement and maintain infrastructure hardware and software systems.
  • Patching, hardening and system updates are performed as required.
  • Cyber security vulnerabilities affecting infrastructure are identified and remediated.
  • Converged infrastructure platforms are managed, including configuration and maintenance.
  • Storage systems and related hardware are implemented and supported.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of modern IT infrastructure, including HPE hardware and virtualised/cloud environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows Server (Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, ADFS), Linux operating systems, VMware (v Center, SRM, Lifecycle Manager, ESX).
  • PREFERRED EXPERIENCE WITH: Cisco networking, Qualys vulnerability management, Tidal job scheduler Veritas Net Backup, VMware NSX/NSX-T/V, v RNIPower Shell scripting and general network troubleshooting Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle database administration Security technologies (TLS, certificates, encryption)Endpoint and device management Intel NUC, Logitech peripheralsWireless Cisco, HPLoad balancers F5Firewalls FortinetMicrosoft IIS and HPE Nimble storage Familiarity with compliance standards ACSC Essential Eight, ISM, PSPF is highly regarded.
