Aboriginal Health Practitioner Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aboriginal Health Practitioner to join our team. This challenging yet rewarding role requires a high level of expertise and experience in Indigenous Primary Health Care Practice.

  • Provide culturally responsive services in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, develop case management and healthcare plans, and support Aboriginal people in complying with their care plan.
  • Engage with community members to strengthen community involvement in health service delivery.
  • Provide health practice and cultural support to other health professionals to build cultural competence and responsiveness.
  • Provide clinical supervision, mentoring, and support of Trainee Aboriginal Health Practitioners to develop competent practitioners.
  • In partnership with other health professionals, provide health education and promotion programs in the community.
  • Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high-quality, safe services and workplaces.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture through exemplary leadership practice and role modeling behavior.
