Director of Primary Health Care Services

We are seeking an experienced medical professional to lead the delivery of comprehensive primary health care services across the West Arnhem region. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing systems for clinical care delivery and workforce management.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team, providing medical advice and establishing linkages with other health providers for optimum care coordination. You will also be responsible for leading clinical quality and safety initiatives, as well as continuous improvement efforts.
To be successful in this role, you must have experience in leadership and coordination, as well as the ability to provide clinical services across remote areas within the West Arnhem region. You should also have a strong understanding of continuous quality improvement principles and equal employment opportunity and work health and safety principles in primary health care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing comprehensive primary health care service delivery and leading a multidisciplinary team.
- Developing and implementing systems for clinical care delivery and workforce management.
- Providing medical advice and establishing linkages with other health providers for optimum care coordination.
- Leading clinical quality and safety initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Managing and supporting the professional development of clinical staff.
Desirable skills and qualifications include previous experience working in a remote Indigenous health context. We welcome the opportunity to discuss your individual career aspirations and work-life needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- AHPRA Registered Medical Practitioner.
- RACGP or FACRRM.

- Understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity and Work Health and Safety principles in primary health care.
About the Role
This Executive level role involves visiting remote communities on a regular basis and requires strategic thinking and strong clinical leadership.
