A highly experienced Fire Service Team Leader is required by Austcorp Executive Recruitment PTY Ltd to work hands-on and manage a small team of Technicians, supporting a large contract in the resource sector, along with some smaller contracts and remote sites.
About the Role- Based with a growing organisation with great potential for career progression in the future.
- Permanent Full-time Position - Monday till Friday, Day shift.
- The role covers the entire Northern Territory, including a "Bush Service" – where they run contracts in Regional NT from the Northern QLD border, Katherine, right down past Alice Springs – involving testing fire systems and checking fire extinguishers.
- Accountable for the leadership, scheduling, budget, safety, and performance of a small team of Technicians.
- Work hands-on to inspect, test, maintain, service and install all Wet Fire Systems and Fire Fighting Equipment to AS and/or OEM standards.
- Conduct routine inspection and servicing of Portable Fire Systems and equipment.
- Installation of Portable Fire Systems and equipment.
- Assist in preparation of customer quotations and identifying remedial work.
- Commit to workplace safety and good work practices.
- 5+ years' experience in the Fire industry, supervising Fire Systems Installations (Wet/Dry).
- Strong communication, client relationship management, and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of AS1851, AS1668, AS1670, AS2220, ASS009, and AS3000.
- Cert 3 in Electrotechnology.
- FPAS Accreditation (Desirable).
- Current Driver's License.
- Must be happy to travel.
- Must be able to secure a Police Clearance.
- Must be able to pass a standard pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
