About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Automation Engineer to join our team in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal part in mid to large-scale networking projects, crafting scripts and playbooks to automate network modifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Crafting scripts and playbooks/cookbooks to seamlessly automate bulk network modifications
  • Scripting for database queries and bolstering the databases housing network telemetry and status information
  • Supporting the network automation platform with expertise in Ansible and Python
  • Developing software applications within the networking domain
  • Crafting custom plugins and modules that streamline network operations using Ansible
  • Architecting scalable and efficient network configurations using infrastructure-as-code and config-as-code principles
  • Leveraging containerization and optimizing network performance with knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and Linux
  • Creating robust and efficient network automation solutions using a mainstream programming language, preferably Python
  • Designing and executing effective database queries, coupled with hands-on familiarity with Mongo DB
  • Constructing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Jenkins, to ensure smooth testing and release processes
Requirements
  • Expertise in Networking Software Development: A proven track record in developing software applications within the networking domain
  • Mastery of Automation Tools: Proficiency in Ansible
  • Infrastructure and Configuration as Code: Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code principles
  • Ecosystem Familiarity: Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Linux
  • Programming Proficiency: High level of expertise in Python
  • Database Mastery: Proficiency in designing and executing effective database queries, coupled with hands-on familiarity with Mongo DB
  • Software Testing Acumen: Deep understanding of software testing strategies
