eCommerce Specialist

Role Overview

This role focuses on visual merchandising of product ranges on our websites and improving navigation and discoverability for customers.

You will work closely with the Purchasing team to develop a deep understanding of product categories through market research and data analysis to create an optimal shopping experience.

Responsibilities
  • Managing online visual merchandising in line with brand guidelines for multiple websites, including digital marketing campaigns
  • Building knowledge of categories and how customers shop them through online research, collaboration with the Purchasing team, and analysis of Google Analytics and other web data
  • Researching product specification requirements in all categories to set standards of product information to source from suppliers
  • Working closely with the Purchasing team to implement product merchandising best practices and quality control processes
  • Maintaining and updating website content, including navigation, search optimization, category and product page updates, to keep content fresh and aligned with promotions and seasonal trends
  • Conducting customer and competitor research to build best-in-class category merchandising
  • Analyzing visitor browsing, purchasing behavior, and customer journeys across channels and devices to ensure visual communication keeps customers at the forefront
  • Supporting data analysis to drive business decisions and inform product strategies, including regular reporting and research
  • Collaborating with the Purchasing, Marketing, and Engineering teams to support website improvement initiatives
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • University Degree in Marketing, Communications, or similar field
  • Experience in Online Merchandising, Digital Marketing, Website Layouts, Category Management, or Customer Experience functions; preferably in Retail or eCommerce
  • Understanding of consumer behavior and passion for improving customer experience
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to work in detail and make data-driven recommendations
  • Experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) is preferred
  • Exceptional multitasking abilities with capacity to manage high volume of tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP and pivot tables); technical aptitude will be tested
