Operations Leader

Job Summary

The Operations Leader is responsible for directing a team of direct reports in delivering safe, compliant, and cost-effective outcomes. This includes implementing safety standards across the site, driving compliance with regulatory requirements, and promoting growth and profitability through effective cost management and performance monitoring.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Direct the implementation of safety standards across the site
  • Drive compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Promote growth and profitability through effective cost management and performance monitoring
  • Provide strong leadership and direction to ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) and service targets are met
  • Assist in overseeing and coordinating daily operational activities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives and energy efficiency strategies
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports to support operational performance

Requirements:

  • Experience in transport operations (road/rail)
  • Knowledge of business and logistics practices
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • A hands-on approach to managing people and operations
  • A current driver's licence
  • Qualifications in Business or Logistics (desired but not essential)
