In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for operating trains in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Driving locomotives while adhering to industry regulations and safety protocols.
  • Liaising with train controllers to ensure schedules are met.
  • Contribution towards achieving operational excellence through proactive working and supporting safety goals.
  • Provisioning and preparing locomotives for operations, including checks on control systems and compliance documentation.
  • Maintenance of locomotives, including minor servicing and provisioning activities.
About You
  • Possession of qualifications as a certified locomotive driver, preferably with relevant certifications.
  • Current certification in Train Driving is required.
  • Safety is paramount.
  • A positive attitude when collaborating within a team environment.
  • Basic computer literacy is essential.
  • Focused on customer needs and continuous improvement.
  • Will to undertake ongoing training and development activities.
  • Availability and flexibility to work a 24/7 roster that includes local and barracks shifts.
