Job Overview

Shadforth is seeking a skilled engineer to lead two exciting civil projects in Bargara and Burnett Heads. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in the success of our first projects in the region while contributing to our continued growth as we secure and deliver more civil works.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills, with a solid understanding and experience of civil construction and subdivision works. They will demonstrate strong project management skills, including managing construction planning, programming, and completion schedules, procurement and allocation of necessary project resources, cost management and reporting, contract administration, quality assurance, and ensuring safe working conditions for staff and subcontractors.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
  • Solid understanding and experience of civil construction and subdivision works
  • Strong project management skills, including construction planning, programming, and completion schedules, procurement and allocation of necessary project resources, cost management and reporting, contract administration, quality assurance, and ensuring safe working conditions for staff and subcontractors

Responsibilities:

  • Manage construction planning, programming, and completion schedules
  • Procurement and allocation of necessary project resources
  • Cost management and reporting
  • Contract Administration, including NODs/EOTs, notices, reporting, claims
  • Quality Assurance, including organising testing, ITPs, submissions
  • Delivering Progress reports to the Construction Manager
  • Ensuring safe working conditions for staff and subcontractors and adhering to compliance requirements
