Salary

The salary for this position is $88,865 - $110,039 per annum, plus 17% Superannuation. This competitive remuneration package reflects the importance of this role in supporting academic staff in maintaining good academic practice and identifying breaches of academic integrity.

Job Description

This new role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the redesign and implementation of an institutional academic integrity framework. As an Academic Integrity Engagement Coordinator, you will work under the leadership of the Senior Manager, Academic Integrity within the Office of Academic Integrity, which sits within the Academic Quality and Standards Division (AQS).

You will collaborate with the Academic Integrity Advisory Group, colleagues in AQS, and learning and teaching stakeholders across the University to review and implement changes to UOW's academic integrity framework that takes an educative approach by improving awareness amongst students and building staff capability in detecting, reporting, investigating and determining outcomes of academic integrity breaches.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership, education, and investigative capability to support academic staff in maintaining good academic practice and identifying breaches of academic integrity;
  • Working collaboratively with the Academic Integrity Advisory Group, colleagues in AQS, and learning and teaching stakeholders to review and implement changes to UOW's academic integrity framework;
  • Identifying and mitigating future risks to academic integrity by proactively coordinating institutional approaches in response to emerging technologies that impact learning and teaching activities, academic integrity and assessment security, including Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI);
  • Applying expertise to improve awareness amongst students and build staff capability in detecting, reporting, investigating and determining outcomes of academic integrity breaches.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with academic staff, students, and other stakeholders;
  • Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures related to academic integrity.
