Job Title

The role of Head of Department, Christian Development at our school is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a highly skilled and experienced educator. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the Christian Development department, teaching Years 7-12 students, and contributing to the development of curriculum and pedagogy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Christian Development department, providing guidance and support to staff members
  • Teach Years 7-12 Christian Development classes, inspiring and motivating students to achieve their full potential
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum and pedagogy, ensuring that teaching practices are innovative and effective
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals and objectives
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to maintain and improve teaching skills and knowledge

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experienced teacher of Christian Development, with a strong understanding of curriculum and pedagogy
  • Theologically qualified at Diploma level or higher
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Knowledgeable about recent developments in senior secondary pedagogy and their application to Christian Development
  • Experience in curriculum development and implementing new syllabuses
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a commitment to continuous improvement
