Commercial Trading Partner - Fresh

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Commercial Food team at Macquarie Park, NSW. As a Commercial Trading Partner - Fresh, you will play a key role in supporting the Commercial Trading Manager - Fresh by providing commercial insight and decision support across the Trading teams.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Head of Trade - Fresh on managing the commercial affairs of the Fresh department
  • Ensuring relevant information is provided to facilitate supplier negotiations
  • JBPs, Trading Terms
  • Partnering with States / Channel and Trading teams on the preparation of Budgets, forecasts and KPIs
  • Compiling trend analysis and KPI variance assessments and commentary across Trading departments and Channels:
    • Retail and Wholesale Sales performance
    • Category / Channel Income performance (In lieu, deferred and state)
    • Inventory management
    • Direct market analysis
  • Preparing supplier performance assessments
  • GM / commercial support where applicable
  • When required, partnering with the Trading terms department to audit/back claim missing income
  • Supporting decision pricing support and investment

You will work closely with diverse groups and stakeholders, utilizing your business partnering and influencing skills to build partnerships both internally and externally.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • An accounting degree or similar qualification
  • Industry experience in FMCG, Retail or related fields
  • Cross-functional liaison and working with diverse groups and stakeholders
  • Working in a changing environment (consumer trends, technology, various data sets)
