Purchasing Officer

Bis Industries is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to join our team in Paget, QLD. As a key member of our Underground Coal Services (UCS) division, you will play a crucial role in supporting our purchasing and inventory management activities.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all requisitions and liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of part supplies.
- Process purchase orders and stock transfers efficiently, ensuring smooth operation of our purchasing processes.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including the Workshop and Warehouse teams, to meet operational needs.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock takes, to maintain accurate records.
- Process vendor-managed consumables, stock returns, and freight arrangements to optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Cert III in Business Administration (or equivalent) and strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage fluctuating workloads with attention to detail and experience with JDE and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of underground mining machines and workshop environments is highly regarded.
