Research Position: Advanced Numerical Modelling

The School of Mathematics at Monash University is seeking a Research Fellow to join their team in Melbourne, Australia.
">This research project is supported by the Australian Research Council and aims to develop and analyse novel nonlinear, multiphysics, and multiscale PDE systems modelling the electromechanics of heart and torso. The successful candidate will engage in developing advanced numerical discretisations for multiphysics PDEs, working closely under the guidance of Professor Santiago Badia and Professor Ricardo Ruiz Baier.

- Disseminating results through research articles and technical presentations;">
While applicants from different research backgrounds are welcomed, preference will be given to candidates with experience in the analysis and implementation of finite elements and similar methods. A strong educational background or substantial relevant skills and work experience in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field are required.
">The ideal candidate will have a PhD and expertise in the efficient implementation of algorithms for numerical approximation of PDEs using finite element methods.
