Research Fellow Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled researcher to work on a research project supported by the Australian Research Council.

The project aims to develop and analyze novel nonlinear, multiphysics, and multiscale PDE systems modeling the electromechanics of heart and torso. The successful candidate will:

  • Develop advanced numerical discretisations for multiphysics PDEs, focusing on mathematical and computational aspects of problems with dynamic interfaces.
  • Work closely under the guidance of experienced researchers.
  • Disseminate results through technical publications and presentations.

Prior experience in finite elements and similar methods is desirable but not required. However, knowledge of computational models for biomedical applications is beneficial.

A strong educational background or substantial relevant skills and work experience are essential. A PhD in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field is required. The ideal candidate will have expertise in implementing numerical algorithms efficiently using finite element methods.
