Job Opportunity: Speech Pathologist in Regional South Australia

Mars Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist for an exciting locum position in the Whyalla or Port Augusta regions. This opportunity allows you to make a profound impact on the lives of young children, including NDIS participants.

About the Role:

  • Collaborate with local health services and community professionals to deliver culturally respectful care to Aboriginal children and their families.
  • Promote early childhood development principles and best practices in paediatric speech therapy.
  • Assess individual needs and prioritise service delivery based on clinical demands.
  • Provide thorough assessments, timely referrals, and coordinated care to support clients, families, and caregivers across their healthcare journey.
  • Evaluate intake, prioritisation, and service delivery in accordance with the health boards framework, considering socio-economic factors.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology.
  • Current registration with the Speech Pathology Association (SPA).
  • Experience working with paediatric clients and understanding of NDIS frameworks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Aboriginal health professionals and community services.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills to manage intake, referrals, and follow-up care.
  • Australian working rights.
  • WWCC check for South Australia.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check.
  • Recent National Police Certificate.
  • Recent influenza vaccination.
  • Immunisation proof for COVID-19.
