Chief Compliance Officer, Anti-Money Laundering Expert

As Chief Compliance Officer, you will lead the way in maintaining, developing and overseeing compliance practices and procedures to meet financial services, anti-money laundering, conduct expectations and all other regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies such as ASIC and AFCA
- Advise the company's board of directors and senior management on general compliance issues
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of relevant aspects of prevailing business practices and regulations
- Ensure local operation and administration procedures comply with regulations
- Train staff on local regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular monitoring to ensure compliance with in-house rules and regulations
- Ensure client due diligence compliance procedures are adequate
- Investigate compliance issues and address them satisfactorily
- Assess the company's status of compliance and report periodically to senior management and the board of directors
We are looking for a highly skilled professional with a strong working knowledge of Australian financial services regulations and requirements.
- Bachelor degree in law (preferably)
- 5 years of practical experience in a similar role
- Experience working within the Australian CFD and margin FX industry is desirable
- Experience with working overseas within a global financial institution
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex stakeholders
- Ability to be self-sufficient and work independently
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Full eligibility to work in Australia

The salary for this role is estimated to be around $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
