About the RoleThis role offers an exciting opportunity to join our Financial Services/Regulatory team as a key member, led by some of Australia's top anti-corruption/bribery partners. As a Financial Regulatory Expert - Anti-Money Laundering Specialist, you will thrive on representing blue-chip clients including leading banks, non-bank lenders, superannuation and investment funds, global fund managers, sovereign wealth funds, and pension funds.
You will advise and resolve disputes relating to complex issues such as AML/CTF Act, National Consumer Credit Protection Act, Banking Act, Banking Code of Practice, ePayments Code, and ASIC Act. Additionally, you will provide subject matter expertise to the litigation and corporate/M&A teams in relation to contentious regulatory/enforcement matters and financial services transactions.
About You- We are looking for an admitted lawyer with minimum 5-10+ years post-admission experience specifically in anti-money laundering/counter-terrorism finance/financial regulation.
- Candidates should have solid knowledge and practical understanding of the Australian AML/CTF regime (essential) and any other area/s of financial regulation eg banking, payment systems, funds management, superannuation (desirable).
- The ideal candidate will possess stand-out analytical, communication, people/relationship, and time management skills.
