Job Overview

To excel in this challenging role, it is crucial that the incumbent possesses a deep understanding of the health and wellbeing needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

This Senior Health Services Manager will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality, culturally appropriate primary health care services to clients, in line with established models of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve clinic performance, aligning with agreed key performance indicators, to deliver comprehensive and holistic primary health care services.
  • Oversee the management of vaccines, adhering to IUIH cold chain management policy and procedures.
  • Foster effective care coordination and case management approaches with clients, ensuring seamless service delivery across various health and wellbeing services.
  • Monitor and evaluate clinic operations, identifying areas for improvement to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct regular performance check-ins, providing constructive feedback to support professional growth and development.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to review and enhance systems, addressing gaps in business processes and service delivery.
About You

The ideal candidate will possess prior experience within an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Health Service, coupled with relevant qualifications in Business, Management, Health, Nursing, and/or Allied Health.

You will require exceptional communication skills, confidence in interpersonal interactions, and a Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD), Current Criminal History Check, Current Working with Children Check (QLD Blue Card), and Current Disability Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card).
