About the Role

We are seeking a Logistics Support Specialist to join our team in Sydney, AU.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing logistical operations to support maritime products and associated assets and equipment.

This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex logistics supply chains in challenging environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive logistics plans to support field operations, deployments, and movements;
  • Coordinate the movement of systems, equipment, and supplies across various modes of transportation (air, land, and sea);
  • Manage inventory control systems to ensure adequate stock levels of critical parts, spares, consumables, and support equipment in location;
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of support vessels, vehicles, and other topside/ground equipment;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors, and other logistics partners;
  • Be able to develop contingency plans for emergent logistics challenges;
  • Report on budgets and resources for logistics operations, ensuring cost-effective utilization;
  • Implement and oversee safety and security protocols for logistics operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, environmental standards, and international laws;
  • Manage end-of-life (disposal and recycling) of equipment and hazardous materials in accordance with regulations;
  • Be the Supply user focal in the maintenance information system.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in military logistics or a similar role involving logistic support of complex systems;
  • Maritime, mechanical, or electrical trades background desirable;
  • Ability to work under pressure and in high-stress environments with emergent challenges;
  • Experience in budget management and resource allocation;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights;
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • A sincere commitment to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture;
  • Forklift/crane/rigging/dogging qualifications desirable but not essential;
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a NV2 Security Clearance.
