Transport Operations Coordinator

This is a key role in scheduling and executing transport orders. The Transport Scheduler Optimiser plays a vital part in ensuring timely delivery, managing routes and loads efficiently, and maintaining compliance standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the full transport cycle from order receipt to delivery confirmation.
  • Optimising loads, routes and capacity using internal TMS systems.
  • Allocating orders to compliant carriers and adhering to operational procedures.
  • Monitoring exceptions to minimise service risks and delivery delays.
  • Maintaining accurate master data within the system.
  • Liaising with carrier and customer teams for seamless execution.

The ideal candidate will have strong background in transport operations, freight scheduling or logistics coordination.

They must be proficient with transport management systems and optimisation tools, possess high accuracy and attention to detail, and proven ability to manage fluctuating workloads.

Apart from technical skills, excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential for this role.

Additionally, sound judgment and analytical thinking when making decisions are highly valued.

Compliance with Australian road transport regulations is also necessary for this position.
