Care Coordinator for Individuals with Disabilities

This role is focused on delivering high-quality support and assistance to individuals with disabilities. The ideal candidate will be able to help clients with daily living activities, provide emotional support, and promote independence and community integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs
- Monitor health conditions and administer medication as required
- Help with meal preparation and household tasks
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the best possible care for clients
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Certification in disability support or a related field is preferred
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary
- A compassionate and patient demeanor is essential for this role
- The ability to handle challenging behaviors and situations is also required
- Knowledge of disability rights and advocacy is beneficial
- Experience working with people living with epilepsy is an asset
