Caregiver for Individuals with Disabilities

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team, supporting individuals with disabilities to lead empowered, fulfilling lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide respectful personal care (bathing, dressing, toileting, medication support)
- Assist clients with daily living activities: meal preparation, shopping, cleaning, household management
- Support clients to engage in social, recreational, community-based activities
- Offer companionship, encouragement, emotional support to promote social inclusion, wellbeing
- Monitor safety, respond to emergencies in accordance with policy, training
- Collaborate with health professionals, families to implement tailored care plans
- Maintain accurate records, documentation
Requirements:
- Empathetic communicator who values client choice, dignity, independence
- Ability to work autonomously, as part of a supportive team
- Physically able to carry out care-related tasks
- Strong organisational skills, adaptability
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent (desirable)
- Current driver's license, reliable transport (as required)
- Relevant background checks, clearances
