Home Care Support Role

The Home Care Support Worker plays a vital part in enabling older Australians to live independently and safely within their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and medication management.
  • Offer domestic support, such as meal preparation, cleaning, and household tasks.
  • Provide social support, including transportation to appointments, shopping, or community activities.
  • Monitor and report any changes in health and wellbeing.
Requirements:
  • A Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent with 12 months experience.
  • Completion of HLTHPS006 – Assist Clients with Medication.
  • HLTAAP001 – Recognise Healthy Body Systems.
  • CHCCCS031 – Provide Individualised Support.
  • A current driver’s license and comprehensively insured vehicle.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
