We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager/Warehouse Specialist to join our valued client based in Townsville.

Job Overview:

Storeperson (Dispatch):

  • Ensure accurate receipt and recording of products and quantities.
  • Pick and assemble orders efficiently.
  • Operate machinery and forklifts on a daily basis.

To succeed in this role, you must hold:

  • Computer knowledge and proficiency in Pronto – advantageous.
  • A current forklift license with proven experience.
  • Prior experience in manual handling and warehouse roles.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment and possess a sound understanding of workplace safety.

Production Operator:

  • Perform regular maintenance on production equipment to prevent breakdowns.
  • Closely monitor the production process to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
  • Operate machines used in steel production, such as furnaces, rolling mills, and casting machines.
  • Inspect raw materials and finished products for defects or inconsistencies.
  • Maintain inventory by moving semi-finished and finished steel products within the facility using cranes, forklifts, or other equipment.

To excel in this position, you must:

  • Hold a current C Class Driver's License + Reliable Transport.
  • Be physically fit to undertake manual handling tasks.
  • Prior experience with sheet metal folding.
  • A current forklift license with proven experience.
  • Prior experience in warehouse roles.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment and possess a sound understanding of workplace safety.
  • Computer knowledge – advantageous.
  • Mechanical aptitude – advantageous.

We offer competitive remuneration, estimated at AU$70,000 - AU$90,000 per annum, depending on experience, and benefits including a safe working environment, opportunities for professional growth, and a chance to be part of a dynamic team.
