Commercial Lawyer - Probity Specialist

About the Role

Our high-performing Public Law - Probity team is seeking experienced Lawyers/Associates (2-5 years PQE) to join us as Commercial Lawyers - Probity Specialists.

The successful candidate will provide pragmatic, solutions-focused commercial advice, governance advice, contract drafting, procurement, grants, and probity advice to Commonwealth Government agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other lawyers and clients to achieve project goals and deliver results
  • Support Partners in building and maintaining a strong team environment and driving business growth
  • Work on complex, sensitive, interesting, and nation-building projects that shape Australia's future

Requirements:

  • 2-5+ years' experience as a lawyer working with government clients, preferably in a probity or commercial capacity
  • Contracting, procurement, and/or grant experience, including drafting and advising on contracts
  • Understanding of probity, integrity in the public sector, and governance principles, including risk management and compliance
  • General legal experience, particularly in dispute resolution, commercial law, administrative law, or general public law
  • Strong emotional intelligence, interpersonal skills, and ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Experience working collaboratively in a team environment and contributing to business development initiatives
