Our team at Brenntag is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Specialist to provide regulatory support to our Business Units in Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory obligations under laws, regulations, and self-regulatory programs in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Support the Regulatory Manager ANZ in acquisition projects and provide regulatory support in the regulatory environment.
  • Work with the QSHE, Commercial, and Supply Chain Teams to ensure regulatory responsibilities are met, including safety data sheets (SDS's) and customer requests for regulatory information.
  • Ensure guidelines and standards are followed and report any non-compliance issues to the QSHE Manager ANZ.
  • Proactively prevent risks of non-compliance to business by escalating and reporting to the Regulatory Manager.
  • Approve new product requests and ensure compliance with all required regulatory authorities.
  • Produce country-compliant SDS and labels for new products to comply with GHS requirements.
  • Ensure food products comply with all regulatory requirements.
  • Assess existing and new chemicals under the Australian Industrial Chemical Introduction Scheme (AICIS) and work with the Commercial Team and Suppliers to submit relevant declarations and reports.
  • Assist with technical enquiries, including interpreting QSHE/Regulatory technical information and providing support.
  • Gather information from the SAP system on sales of products.
  • Provide monthly Regulatory/QSHE reporting for respective responsibilities.
  • Participate in Regulatory/QSHE audits as required.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in chemistry or a similar field.
  • 2-5 years' experience in a similar regulatory role, preferably in industrial chemicals or chemical distribution.
  • Proficient computer knowledge in using Access and Internet-based databases, including SAP.
  • Intermediate Microsoft skills, particularly in Excel.
