At Partale, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Learning & Development Manager to join our team. This exciting opportunity will provide strategic and operational leadership for our learning and training programs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, structure, and quality assurance of all learning content and internal delivery systems of programs. They will lead a team focused on learning capability, design, and content creation, fostering a culturally safe and collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic leadership for Partale's learning offerings, ensuring alignment with our organisational values and goals.
- Managing and developing a team focused on learning capability, design, and content creation, fostering a culturally safe and collaborative environment.
- Overseeing the co-design and development of diverse learning resources, including workshops, e-learning, and youth-targeted content.
- Leading the implementation and integration of our Learning Management System (LMS).
- Ensuring quality assurance and compliance of all L&D materials, policies, and internal procedures with relevant educational and legislative standards.
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
- Demonstrated cultural competency and experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and organisations.
- Qualifications in education, Indigenous studies, adult learning, or instructional design.
- Experience supporting digital learning innovation in a not-for-profit or community setting.

Job DescriptionThis is a key leadership position within our organisation, requiring a highly skilled and experienced professional to oversee our learning and development functions.
The successful candidate will have strong leadership and management skills, as well as expertise in learning and development principles, processes and practices.
They will be able to develop and implement effective learning strategies that meet the needs of our staff and stakeholders, and ensure that our learning programs are high-quality, engaging and aligned with our organisational goals.
Responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing learning plans and strategies to achieve organisational goals.
- Designing, developing and delivering learning programs and resources that meet the needs of our staff and stakeholders.
- Managing and coordinating the work of a team to deliver learning programs and services.
- Building partnerships with other departments and external agencies to support learning and development initiatives.
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of learning programs and making recommendations for improvement.
Additional responsibilities may include:
- Representing the organisation at conferences, meetings and events to promote our learning and development programs.
- Staying up-to-date with best practice in learning and development and applying this knowledge to improve our programs and services.
- Participating in the development and implementation of organisational policies and procedures related to learning and development.
