The Community Engagement Support Worker – LGBTIQ+ Communities is a key position within Wellways Australia Limited, focused on enhancing Carer Gateway responsiveness to supporting LGBTIQ+ Carers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to identify and engage with hidden or hard-to-reach LGBTIQ+ Carers and communities, ensuring they have access to Carer Gateway services and support.
- Provide face-to-face intake, planning, and assessment services to LGBTIQ+ Carers who encounter barriers to accessing safe and effective phone-planning support via the Contact Centre.
- Collaborate with other service systems to promote strong access pathways for LGBTIQ+ Carers.
- Deliver training to service delivery teams on Rainbow Tick principles for engaging with LGBTIQ+ Carers.
- Support and coordinate events, such as workshops and information sessions, for LGBTIQ+ Carers based on feedback through LGBTIQ+ Carer co-production.
- Represent Wellways to various agencies, professional networks, the local community, and Carers.
- Minimum Certificate IV in Community Development or similar, and/or relevant community engagement experience.
- Current valid Driver's License and the ability to undertake regular local travel.
- Demonstrated strong connection with LGBTIQ+ communities and a deep understanding of the lived experiences of LGBTIQ+ communities.

- SCHADS 3 (Up to $40.05ph) + superannuation + salary packaging benefits.
