We are seeking a highly skilled Baker - Chef de Partie to lead our Bakery/Croissant team at Black Star Pastry in Alexandria.

This is a full-time opportunity for a qualified Baker with at least 3 years' experience who will have the opportunity to craft our acclaimed pastries and develop their skills as a Pastry Chef working with an amazing team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all pastry products are prepared and baked according to specific store requirements.
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of the full product range.
  • Coordinate and oversee the supervision of a section.
  • Follow and adhere to recipe specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements of food hygiene regulations.
  • Ensure all policies, procedures, standards, and safety guidelines are followed.

About You:

  • Previous experience in a Senior Baker– Chef de Partie role, particularly in viennoiserie & dough lamination.
  • Full understanding of how the role contributes to the success of the store, including a focus on quality control and operational efficiencies.
  • Good working knowledge of the restaurant and hospitality industry.
  • Able to build effective and constructive relationships – a true team player.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and concisely.
  • Exceptional organisational skills.
  • Good judgement and confident to make informed decisions.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible to changing business demands.
