Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our team, responsible for sample preparation, analysis of water and soils, interpretation, and result entry into our laboratory information management system (LIMS). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality results and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our data.

About The Position:

This casual position is based in our Hume, ACT laboratory and involves working with a range of samples, including water and soil. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for preparing samples for analysis, operating laboratory equipment, and interpreting results. You will also be required to enter data into our LIMS system and ensure that all work is completed to a high standard.

About You:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role, as you will need to effectively communicate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
  • You will need to have excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, as well as work effectively independently and as part of a team.
  • Showcasing attention to detail is crucial in this role, as small errors can have significant consequences.
